Hello,
Welcome to my website where I hope you will stay and browse awhile, this site is a 'work in progress' so I hope you will find it interesting and will then come back and browse again.
I have always held an interest in natural healing and have had the tendency to impart my gathering knowledge onto family and friends whether they appreciated it or not! I hold a City and Guilds Food Studies 1 & 2, gaining a credit and distinction. For many years I was an Obedience Trainer helping people with their pets at a local Dog Training Club training puppies through to advanced obedience, during this time I attended many specialist training and dog behavioural workshops. I must mention here my two beautiful Golden Retrievers who gave me years of great pleasure as my pets and enjoyed competing at shows and club matches.
Since qualifying as a Reflexologist in the year 2002 a Lifeforce accredited course with the Association of Reflexologists, I have continued with my professional development with hand, precision, neuro foot reflexology and foot reading.
While searching the web for a hamstring injury for a horse I kept coming across the Bowen Technique. Bowen Therapy is a gentle hands on muscle release therapy developed by Tom Bowen in Australia. There are two main bodies of Bowen Training in this Country the European Guild of Bowen Studies and Bowtech originally brought to the UK by Ossie Rentsch. I Qualified as a Bowen Practitioner with Bowtech in 2005
Since this time I have attended many CPD courses in the field of body work, in particular a two day seminar with Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains) and further assessment and palpation workshops, advanced Bowen and in 2010 Bowen for Mother, Baby and Toddler.
During this time I have also studied with Ross Emmett working through his modalities to become a fully qualified practitioner of his work The Emmett Technique.
With my interest in dogs it was natural for me to study with Ron and Sally Askew and gain a certificate as a Canine Bowen Practitioner this is a fully comprehensive course and included seminars and assignments with an orthopeadic vet, canine Anatomy and Physology.
If you would like me to come along to your club or association and talk to you about my work and experiences in Bowen Therapy, Reflexology or indeed you are a dog club then an interesting talk on Canine Bowen Technique and my experiences as a trainer. I will be happy to hear from you.
This site continues to be updated so please come back and take a look.
Best Wishes
